We are excited to announce the return of our annual NYSAWA conference, July 7-8, 2026 in beautiful Ithaca, NY!
Call for presentation proposals!
NYSAWA invites members and partners to submit presentation proposals for the 2026 NYSAWA Conference, centered on the theme Lead Forward, Lift Others! This theme challenges us to look ahead with purpose while intentionally elevating those around us—our colleagues, teams, students, and communities.
We are seeking engaging, practical, and thought-provoking sessions that reflect forward-thinking leadership, shared responsibility, and the power of collective growth within school districts, community relations, and education-focused organizations.
Why Present at NYSAWA?
Share Your Expertise: Highlight innovative practices, lessons learned, and strategies that move our profession forward.
Strengthen Our Community: Contribute to a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and shared success.
Inspire Action: Equip attendees with ideas they can take back and apply immediately in their own work.
What We’re Looking For
Proposals should align with the conference theme and may take the form of presentations, panels, or interactive workshops. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Leading through change, uncertainty, or complexity
- Mentorship, coaching, and developing future leaders
- Building trust, collaboration, and inclusive teams
- Elevating voices and strengthening partnerships
- Innovative approaches to school communications and engagement
- Lessons learned from challenges, setbacks, or transformation
We encourage proposals that are authentic, reflective, and grounded in real-world experience—sessions that move beyond theory and leave participants feeling empowered, connected, and ready to lead forward while lifting others.
