The countdown is on! We’re excited to welcome you to the 2026 NYSAWA Annual Conference in Ithaca. Before you pack your bags, here are a few things to know to help you make the most of your conference experience.
Pre-Conference Sessions & Welcome Reception
Planning to attend a pre-conference session? We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, July 7, for an afternoon of in-depth professional learning before the conference officially begins.
Be sure to stay for our Welcome Reception at 4:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new attendees, and kick off the conference in a relaxed setting.
Conference Location
The conference will be held at The Statler Hotel at Cornell University.
When you arrive, stop by the registration table to pick up your conference materials, name badge, and printed program. Registration will be open:
- Tuesday, July 7, 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 8, 7:45 a.m.
Your Conference Program
Each attendee will receive a printed conference program that includes:
- Full conference schedule
- Session descriptions
- Speaker biographies
- Venue information
Keep your program with you throughout the conference—it’s your guide to everything happening over the two days. View the agenda at-a-glance.
Make Connections
One of the greatest benefits of attending the NYSAWA Annual Conference is the opportunity to connect with education leaders from across New York state.
Take advantage of networking opportunities during sessions, meals, and breaks. Introduce yourself to someone new, exchange ideas, and build relationships that extend well beyond the conference.
Share the Experience
Throughout the conference, you’ll find “Wish You Were Here” postcards on your tables.
Think of a colleague, mentor, or aspiring leader who would benefit from attending next year’s conference. Write them a quick note about your experience and why you’d love to see them join us next year.
When you’re finished, simply drop your postcard in the collection box near the registration table—we’ll mail it after the conference.

If you have time before or after conference sessions, Ithaca offers plenty to discover. From breathtaking waterfalls and scenic hiking trails to local restaurants, shops, and Cornell University’s beautiful campus, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
